How do you use Txtms?

Hello everyone,

Thank you for helping Txtms grow so quickly. Since our launch date, we have had all kinds of profiles created-personal to business. We've seen teachers use it to provide contact information to students, club promoters make their event and locations available on demand to loyal patrons, and young adults share complete contact information with a single text.

Now we would like to hear how you use Txtms. Tell us how you use it and how you would like to see Txtms evolve for future use.

Tip: User ID - Make it short and simple

Here is an important tip, when signing up for a Txtms make sure you select a short and simple User ID. Remember this User ID will be used to share with others when exchanging profiles, so make it easy.

User IDs have to be 6 characters or more. Good Luck! :)

Mobile Confirmation

We have been getting reports from some users that they are having issues confirming their mobile phones in order to activate the exchange features in Txtms. We are aware of this issue and are working on fixing it as soon as possible.

Blackberry Phones

We got valuable input regarding Blackberry phones. If you have one, you should save x@txtms.com as a contact so you can exchange profiles easier. Otherwise, your Blackberry makes it difficult for you to type in x@txtms.com in the SMS field. Also, a user notified us that if you have a Blackberry and you save x@txtms.com as a contact, then you can just send the request for a profile as an email and avoid paying any SMS charges. Let us know if you have the same experience with a Blackberry.

New Features

We are working on getting rid of minor bugs. We hope to complete the syncing capabilities of Txtms soon. Also, we thought it would be cool if users could back-up their mobile contacts after verifying their mobile phone; we intend to bring this feature in the coming weeks.

Benefits of using Txtms

We want to let everyone know that only one person needs to have a Txtms account to exchange information.

Users can create multiple profiles, business or personal, under a single email address. Retail businesses can offer 411 info. or coupons to their customers once they create a user ID. Realtors will be able to track prospect information and can benefit from an endless supply of digital brochures.

We will be announcing additional features that will bring more value to Txtms in the coming weeks.

Txtms Launched!

After a long time of preparation, we finally released Txtms in beta on February 6th. We are continually working on adding additional features to enhance Txtms for our user base. We welcome all feedback to help improve our product.

Our vision is to become the standard method of information exchange. It's kind of like when email replaced the majority of postal mail due to its efficient method of exchange.
